I wasn't really planning to watch this flick but since the reviews were quite positive, I thought I should give it a try. To be honest, the first half was rather disappointing. The material was really interesting but, as it was a familly feature which I didn't know, the tone was not dark enough, in my opinion. Immediate impressions of Real Steel were that it seemed like a comparison between Transformers with the Rocky series. However, because it starred Hollywood favourite, Australian actor Hugh Jackman, in the leading role, it added more flavor and excitement to the film. pleasant surprise, not expecting much from this movie, however I like, jackman on good paper of creep and child with good acting, the fx are good, history and vindication of reconciliation between a father and son, there will always be second chances , recommended for the whole family. Oscar-nominated 2012 as the best special effects
