"We are standing on the biggest burial mountain in the world..."
Over the years, filmmakers have inundated us with movies depicting Santa Claus as a jolly old fat man who delivers presents to all the boys and girls around the world. In the depths of the Korvatunturi mountains, 486 metres deep, lies the closest ever guarded secret of Christmas. The time has come to dig it up! This Christmas everyone will believe in Santa Claus.
"This is an imaginative and quirky tale that poses the question "what if Santa Claus is real and not anything like the jolly Coca Cola Santa Claus?" What if Santa is actually an ancient demon or monster, and his elves are Golem-wannabes? What if Santa had been buried by the Sami people of Finland and was waiting to be excavated?

No täähän oli ihan törkeen kova! Tuskin. Ihan helvetin loistava leffa. Varmaankin paras joululeffa mitä olen koskaan katsonut.
Tommi Korpela ja Jorma Tommila on kyl suomen kovimmat äijät."

A sort of Finnish-made Gremlins for the 21st Century, this tremendously peculiar horror/fantasy/dark comedy presents an entirely original take on the Christmas mythos, representing the perfect antithesis to the type of traditional holiday films to which we have become accustomed (and have grown sick of). Thoughts: It was great to revisit this for the first time since February, this is a really weird, alternative and brilliantly original Christmas movie.
