First of all: It's a metaphor. Secondly, it's not what it appears to be -- a kid's movie. It's also the funniest, kookiest, most inventive thing I've seen since...well I can't remember, but an awful long time. I first read about Rango just after Johnny Depp had completed Public Enemies and when I found out that Gore Verbinski would be directing it and after his great but slowly weak Pirates Of The Caribbean trilogy which Depp played the lead role, expectations became quite high. Wow ! This was a really gorgeous animated picture ! Only for this, it is worth watching it. Much better than all those crappy 3D animated movies I have seen in 2010. It's too bad the story is not that great but I still laughed a couple of times.
