A good movie

“It must be one of the most obscure movies starring Keira Knightley but I thought it was a pretty good flick. She did this one just before her breakthrough performance in ‘Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl’. For once, she wasn’t showing up in some period piece and I thought it was kind of refreshing. She didn’t have the lead part but I thought she gave a solid performance. I’m not even sure that Molly Parker was the lead either. Parker is a rather interesting actress but she never really managed to breakthrough on the silver screen. She was also pretty good in here but I thought she still looked too good to portray a heroin addict. “This one was actualy quite good. I think the best description of this movie is Requiem for a Dream from the viewpoint of a 10 years old son of a Junkie.

It's a bit weird that this movie is advertised as a Keira Knightley movie. The DVD has a big portrait of her as the coverimage, but she has only a small role(maybe 10 minutes screentime). It was made during the same time as kick it like Backham, which was her big breakthrough.” read more
