3 votes It takes a lot for me to call somebody a genius, but I think that is the only way of describing Miyazaki and his achievements. He continues to make consistently fantastic films and this one is no exception.You are plunged straight into the action from the very beginning of the film and that sets the tone for the following 2 hours. 1 vote A simple allegory for what people do to the environment, but so magical and amazing in the telling that this is compelling watching. More gore but less menace than “Spirited Away”. Recommend.Oh yeah and Minnie Driver is good as usual. |
Description:
A prince is infected with an incurable disease by a possessed boar/god. He is to die unless he can find a cure to rid the curse from his body.  Watched in 2013 with Commentary (57 movies items)" Sorry for not being on listal lately since I've been busy. I have not watched many movies lately. Note: It been over a decade since I saw this movie and I'm glad that I saw it again. The animation is always great to look at and I found the story to be really well done. I really like how the 3D rendering was done in the movie and I think a lot of the animation holds up well.
