waste of money and time

This movie took FOREVER, and I do mean FOREVER, to get into its subject of time travel. Nothing made sense in the beginning of the film, and where it was going, no one had a clue, so when time travel came into perspective, it was like "huh?"

It also looked like a documentary instead of fiction.

Waste of time. I am glad this was a rental, not a purchased dvd.

It's not a new concept to the science fiction genre, but this time travel film is by far the best at creating a sense of believability through its documentary-like cinematography. The actual science behind the theory unravels the mystery of moving through space and time and the ultimate consequences on the physical body and present surrounding world.

Description: At night and on weekends, four men in a suburban garage have built a cottage industry of error-checking devices. But, they know that there is something more. There is some idea, some mechanism, some accidental side effect that is standing between them and a pure leap of innovation. And so, through trial and error they are building the device that is missing most. However, two of these men find the device and immediately realize that it is too valuable to market. The limit of their trust in each other is strained when they are faced with the question, If you always want what you can't have, what do you want when you can have anyt ... (more)

The Top 40 Sci-Fi Movies of the 21st Century (40 movies items)

"Shane Carruth's 2004 mind-bender was made on the cheap – reportedly just $7,000 – though this little film doesn't shy away from asking big questions: the philosophical implications of tampering with time, the weighty responsibilities of playing God, and, if you'll indulge us for a second, what the heck is happening? From its tech-heavy dialogue to the loop-the-loop storyline (so complex it requires a chart to comprehend), Primer is the rare film that makes no attempt to pander to its audienc"

Now, some of you would think that's going to be another of those works which use time-travel like a cheap way of solving everything, and those having no tension or consistency whatsover (Examples: Mirrai Nikki, Dragon Ball Super, Looper, Kimi no Nawa, etc), but, this movie is not the case.

For started, It is noticeable that Shane Carruth was someone dedicated in the project to see not only his contribution in direction and writing,” read more

Movies the giraffe watched in 2016: August (30 movies items)

"First viewing - Aug. 24th I'd meant to watch one of the films waiting for me at the bottom of this list instead, but other responsibilities delayed me from getting an early enough start to justify a 2-hour movie. So instead I went with Primer because it was under an hour & a half, thus guaranteeing I'd be in bed at a decent time. I've heard some great things about this movie, but I can't say I agree with them. While the film does deliver a fresh take on a time travel film, the structure makes "
