After the awesomeness that is Pokemon The Movie 2000, we get something that came so close: Pokemon 3. There's one problem that doesn't make a lot of sense: why did the Unown kidnap Molly's father? They had no motivation; they were antagonists for the sake of plot. And Molly herself, while somewhat bratty once she wishes for a mother, specifically, Ash's mother Delia, isn't really an antagonist, bu... read more

“After the awesomeness that is Pokemon The Movie 2000, we get something that came so close: Pokemon 3. There's one problem that doesn't make a lot of sense: why did the Unown kidnap Molly's father? They had no motivation; they were antagonists for the sake of plot. And Molly herself, while somewhat bratty once she wishes for a mother, specifically, Ash's mother Delia, isn't really an antagonist, but someone who had lost the two people she loved. Entei isn't an antagonist either even though he captured Delia for Molly because despite being an illusion created by the Unown, actually cares for Molly. Not quite as good as the last film, but I'll forgive it.

" Wow! This is bringing out the little kid in me again! I should try to catch it again sometime soon. Just to get that nostalgic feel again. Anyway, I loved Pokémon when I was younger (and I still do, I'm just not as updated on it any longer), and this was easily my favourite out of the films. I loved the story of it. Pokéfilms (list)"
