"16.2.2013. For the first time/TV This is normally the kind of movies that I like.. Unfortunately, even though the trailer makes it interesting, for me the Pathfinder is below average movie.. Don't know, I was expecting more action, and the movie is in my opinion dropped too slow and without emotion, even in scenes where it is expected.. Personally, happened to be the same as for the The New World, I was expecting more due to the storyline, and got a movie that is worth a look just once, if.."

“I was attracted by this movie because of its catchy title and its cool poster but when I realised it was directed by Marcus Nispel (who made, expect for this movie, only remakes! 'The Texas Chainsaw massacre', 'Friday the 13th' and 'Conan'), I wasn't expecting anything really good. And indeed, the end-result was pretty disappointing. The directing is way below average, I mean, the Vikings seem to come from Middle Earth, and everytime there was some fighting scenes, there was always some annoying slow-motion. What a cheap and annoying gimmick! Furthermore, the acting was just weak but the actors were not helped by the weak dialogs. Honestly, it's too bad since the concept (indians vs vikings) actually had some potential and the general look of the movie was actually pretty good. To conclude” read more

““Pathfinder” is curiously dark. The cinematography is so dimmed that its fortunate those big Viking warriors don’t bump on each during the course of battle. Legend has it that before Columbus, Northmen, those warmongering Vikings set foot in the New World and ravaged the American Indians close to extinction if it weren’t for a brave warrior called “Ghost,” himself a young survivor of an earlier Viking expedition but raised by Indians to which he becomes protector.

Karl Urban lacks the physical attributes of a Schwarzennegger since by turns the movie looked closer to “Conan the Barbarian” in the land of “Apocalypto,” but instead made up for recognizable speech.
