“Parenthood is a funny movie, about parents and their children. The story revolves around the Buckman family, the main family member is Gil his wife Karen, as well as his two sisters Helen and Julie. The movie is all about everyday family life, the ups the down and everything in between. It is a funny tale, and showcases everyday life pretty well. The actors all palyed their roles well, the storyline is good and the movie is a great movie to watch for a laugh.” read more

“Fresh off of Willow, which I have yet to see but want to, Ron Howard's next movie to direct is Parenthood, and it was the last time that Howard's films would be decent at least, good at best (I am aware that there's A Beautiful Mind, but I have doubts).

The movie focuses on a family known as the Buckmans, mainly, Gil and Karen, who, out of all of the characters, seem to be the closest to living an okay life, even though there's going to be another child on the way. Steve Martin and Mary Steenburgen do pretty well, and I loved the Cowboy Gil scene, where Martin succeeds at entertaining us.
