This really is a quite extraordinary film, if only for the showcasing of the multiple talents of Tony Jaa. I didn't even know that the human body was capable of some of the things he does. The welcome lack of wire work, stunt doubles and other ridiculous gravity-defying stunts make this film seem much more real, down to earth and enjoyable.

You can sympathise with the rather naive country boy (Jaa) when he first arrives at the city on his honourable mission, but once you realise that he is more than capable of handling himself, you start to root for him. The absolute ferocity with which he battles his final opponent was amazing.
