Description

Peter Gibbons is a typical office worker living a mundane life amid a gray maze of cubicles. Everything in his life reeks of mediocrity, from the mid-size car he drives to the chain restaurant where he eats lunch every day. The company where he works is peppered with ambitionless drones who blindly comply with the condescending requests made of the ... (more)

Work Sucks.

Posted : 12 months ago at Nov 21 15:53
It really does. In Fact, im doing this review in my closet called an office. Every person i know who has a job loves this movie because they can relate to simply not going into work anymore. Just about every aspect of work sucks, from being bossed around to deadlines, to even everyone's version of the dreaded "tps" reports. hell, in my office i even have that secretary with the high voice; she says "hi, how are you?" a good 65 times a day. The movie is based around someone sick of not only their job, but how the office system works, so he came up with a plan to start a virus which dumps fractions of his companies transactions into a private account; not enough to really notice but enough to live off of. The big fuck you to the man, hell yea. His friends go along with him after he reveals t...Read more

An Excellent Comedy From Mike Judge.

Seeing as this is the only Mike Judge film I have ever seen, I was sort of skeptical. But the outcome is great. This is probably one of the best comedies ever made. I mainly enjoyed the real life hilarious relationships between the office workers. It really makes me think, I mean there are actually people in this world that do that exact same thing. I just really enjoy real life comedies opposed to people trying to be funny and cracking stupid jokes the whole film. The film is about a guy named Peter Gibbons who really hates his job sitting in a little cubicle in front of his computer all day. He goes through day day after day doing the same exact thing, seeing the same people, and getting the same crap from his numerous bosses. He got sick and tired of it, so he gets a mind transformat...Read more

Classic comedy at its best!

"Peter, what's happening?" Office Space is a film I had no interest in seeing at all. The front cover of the DVD was something that never sparked my interest; the cover was not enticing and it made the film look like some silly child comedy. But I am very glad that I finally took the time to sit down and watch this gem. The first shot was enough to have me allured. And after the opening scene I was already laughing and clapping due to the comedic genius of the whole thing. And yet the whole film maintains this high level of comedy genius. No matter how many times I watch it I have a tremendously good time. I had no idea the film was going to be this enjoyable. Office Space is bright and funny; it contains a sleuth of fantastic, quirky characters and amusing one-liners that will ...Read more

Not really my cup of tea at all. An office-based comedy romp starring one of my least-liked actors, Ron Livingston. One of the most obvious things is how badly it has dated over the years, everything form the computer equipment to the jokes!

Another wooden performance from Jennifer Aniston seals the deal. I guess this is one of those cult films that you either like or you don't. I just happen to fall into the latter category.

Milton rocks!

Milton:

"And I said, I don't care if they lay me off either, because I told, I told Bill that if they move my desk one more time, then, then I'm, I'm quitting, I'm going to quit. And, and I told Don too, because they've moved my desk four times already this year, and I used to be over by the window, and I could see the squirrels, and they were married, but then, they switched from the Swingline to the Boston stapler, but I kept my Swingline stapler because it didn't bind up as much, and I kept the staples for the Swingline stapler and it's not okay because if they take my stapler then I'll set the building on fire... "

best quote of the movie. LOL

One of best comedies ever made

A hilarious comedy, especially for anyone who's been in an office environment. The plot centres around a company with disgruntled workers that hate their jobs, their boss, and on top of it all, consultants are brought in to trim employee count and to outsource all the work. It's one of those comedies that you'll remember forever, and find yourself repeating many of its punch lines to your friends.
