One of best comedies ever made

A hilarious comedy, especially for anyone who's been in an office environment. The plot centres around a company with disgruntled workers that hate their jobs, their boss, and on top of it all, consultants are brought in to trim employee count and to outsource all the work. It's one of those comedies that you'll remember forever, and find yourself repeating many of its punch lines to your friend... read more

Milton:

"And I said, I don't care if they lay me off either, because I told, I told Bill that if they move my desk one more time, then, then I'm, I'm quitting, I'm going to quit. And, and I told Don too, because they've moved my desk four times already this year, and I used to be over by the window, and I could see the squirrels, and they were married, but then, they switched from ... read more

Classic comedy at its best!

"Peter, what's happening?"

Office Space is a film I had no interest in seeing at all. The front cover of the DVD was something that never sparked my interest; the cover was not enticing and it made the film look like some silly child comedy. But I am very glad that I finally took the time to sit down and watch this gem.

The first shot was enough to have me allured. A... read more

Peter is a drone for a software company well on his way to a nervous breakdown when a hypnosis mishap opens his eyes. He becomes so apathetic toward his job that he can't even muster up the energy to quit. His new no-work ethic is mistaken by a pair of corporate headhunters as "middle-management potential".

"This movie I saw when I was either 11 or 12 and it was the first R-rated movie I saw. Now, you may be wondering why someone my age would be interested in seeing this kind of movie. Well, that was because I was a fan of Mike Judge's work and loved his shows like Beavis and Butthead and King of the Hill, so I rented it at Blockbuster back when they did moderately well and watched it with parental supervision. While the language was much more than I was used to back then, but this movie still made"

200 & 99 Of My Favorite Films From The 1990's (299 movies items)

"The 90's was a time in which climbing the corporate ladder was the biggest career choice of those who were entering into the job market out of college. As that decade wore on, it became evidently clear that the politicking required in the field was more than most could handle. Or at least bear. So it's no surprise that by 1999, a movie was made satirizing the kind of wide spread disillusionment and frustration that was resulting from working late inside of a cubicle. Peter Gibbons, a demot"

Beauty in it's simplicity.

“This movie is a cult for a reason, if you read the title, the primes, even the cast, you'd think that it isn't interesting at all, while in reality, the movie is 89 minutes of pure comedy, it had all the ingredients of a comedy, funny writing, variety of characters, naivety and hilarious one liners, furthermore, it's takes a story about a boring, mundane job and makes it really interesting.

The movie writing was the key, because it take a place where everybody can relate to it, and each characters was written so well, that it had so many aspects, even the character that makes a small cameo presented itself very well, and it gets even better when you watch it again.

Overall, i think the best thing about it was it's simplicity, and i have to give credit for Mike Judge for” read more

A classic

“For many years, I kept hearing good things about this flick and even though it was barely noticed when it was released, it has become since then a cult-classic (it has an impressive rating of 7.9 on Imdb) so I was really eager to check it out. For Mike Judge, the guy behind Beavis and Butt-Head, it was apparenly a tough experience even though he got much love afterwards. Personally, I thought it was indeed pretty good but it didn’t really blow me away though. I don’t know, maybe it has to do with the fact that Ron Livingston is not really an amazing lead actor but, on the other hand, it was better to have an average looking guy to play an average character with an average job instead of the usually pretty faces. At the end of the day, this flick tries to be a really edgy satire about t” read more

Top 10 Funny Sex Scenes (10 movies items)

" Oh Bill Lumbergh, how we love you and your TPS reports. We’re going to have go ahead and say that our favorite Lumbergh moment is when Peter (Ron Livingston) has a nightmare about Lumbergh (Gary Cole) having sex with Peter’s girlfriend. Mmm-kay? Nightmare-Lumbergh is oiled up, mid-coitus, and says, “You can just go ahead and move a little bit to the left.” He stops to take a sip from his coffee mug and adds, “Yeah, that’s it.” "
