An average movie

After a 2nd watch, I have to admit that this movie was not as bad as I remembered but it was still pretty weak nonetheless. Eventually, the thing that probably bothered me the most was how lazy the whole thing was. Indeed, compared to the previous installments, there were many more killings which was not necessarily a bad thing but, as a result, there was no time left to develop the plot which was... read more

Here’s a thing I like about most of the Elm Street films, there’s a symmetry in that the majority of them have similar openings of an unseen figure crafting something. In the original we have the glove, in The Dream Warriors we have Kristen’s papier-mâché house, in The Dream Master we get creepy child drawing a chalk picture and in this we get a creepy child drawing on a sidewalk. It’s a... read more

"The punching sound effects in the final fight made me laugh. The soundtrack was so 80's that I think I grew a mullet while watching this. "

"Desde el principio esta secuela tiene un problema, traer a Freddy de la muerte puede ser problemático pues tiene que estar bien justificado para no arruinar lo hecho anteriormente, aquí esto se omite y Freddy vuelve porque así lo quiere haciendo de esta una secuela innecesaria. Ademas aquí la saga comienza a ser un festival cómico involuntario que viene por la mala utilización de los sueños hasta la mala elección de música; Un pequeño problema es Freddy que ahora tiene mucha mas carism"

Bml93's Horror Nightmares - October 2017 (17 movies items)

" Gone is the sinister, creepy and mysterious persona of Freddy Krueger. This film is full-on camp from the very beginning until the very end. It doesn't bother me too much that Freddy turned into a complete comedian, but I do wish that there were at least something sinister about him still present. Alas, it isn't. I do like some of the kills, and as usual, the practical effects are amazing. The film does a good job in displaying some of its body horror. It's just a shame that all the good work "

Movie Reviews (351-400) (50 movies items)

" Robert Englund makes this film bearable and fun even if it goes against everything that the character stands for as Freddy is meant to be evil and scary not a comedic anti-hero as he gets to be a comedian in the fourth entry. Good effects and inventive deaths help but the film goes too far by killing off established characters so that director Renny Harlin can make his own horror superhero movie. Patricia Arquette is even replaced by Tuesday Knight and she does a terrible job at it."

"OCTOBER 7: Awful, just awful. The only reason I watched it was because it was on the same disc as Dream Warriors and I was too lazy to grab another movie. This movie was a true product of the 80s: the music, the fashion, the hair... Which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but it was so overpowering, everything else got lost behind it. FAVORITE SCENE: When Alice gets all dressed up before confronting Freddy. That was a well done scene. FAVORITE DEATH: Joey's death; death by waterbed ;)"

October 2016 Horrorfest (21 movies items)

"Re-watch - Oct. 18th Well, this one was far worse than I thought I'd remembered. I guess it's a horror movie by association, but it pretty much fails as one in execution. Of course, the warning signs are present from the opening credits which state this one stars Robert Englund & throws the rest of the cast behind him listed in alphabetical order. Patricia Arquette clearly had better things to do than reprise her character this time around, so we're stuck with a forgettable actress in her stead"
