Even though, it is one of the best sequels to "Nightmre on Elm Street", it is still rather average. The main idea is pretty nice but the whole thing is just really cheesy. If you're a big Freddy Kruger fan, you may enjoy it, otherwise, you better pass it.

Here’s a geeky question. Just how long after the original does this film take place? A Nightmare on Elm Street came out in 1984, it’s sequel the next year. However the sequel jumped forward five years, so is this movie set seven years after the original. As such are the Nightmare on Elm Street films actually set, by and large, in the 1990s?

" The Ups: The only good "Nightmare" movie not directed by Wes Craven. Patricia Arquette at her most beautiful. Heather Langenkamp returning to kick some ass together with John Saxon. Good inventive ideas and surrealism. Robert Englund getting the chance to have some fun with the role without becoming too camp. The hilarious cameo from Zsa Zsa Gabor. Dokken's title song. The Downs: That none of the sequels managed to learn anything from this one and they fucking killed my favorite scream queen."
