Nightcrawler is for sure one of the best film of the year no doubt about that and its another great acting performance by Jake Gyllenhaal proving once again that he is one of the best actors in the industry. The film opens up with Jake Gyllenhaal's character "Louis Bloom" steeling some chain-link fence when a cop roles up but when questioning the cop he learns that he is just a private security gu... read more

Could have been called Nightcreeper. Totally dislikable character played by Gyllenhaal, but what an awesome performance. His character is extremely well-written. Not a fan of Gyllenhaal, but if there's one movie to watch him in, I'd say this is it.

"Jan 17th The screenplay is one of the most original I’ve seen and the film itself creative and innovative with the use of steady cameras and capturing the film within a film. On the surface it follows the sociopathic Bloom (played by Jake Gyllenhaal) who goes to extremes to get what he wants. Digging a little deeper we see a critque of news media and what is deemed “new worthy”. Also, comparisons with news and Hollywood where the story and narrative are most important. Gyllenhaal's per"

" Notes: It was basically a fascinating character study about a massive sociopath living in a dark and nihilistic world. Eventually, the scariest thing was not Louis Bloom himself but the fact that the whole thing was just so damned realistic. Indeed, I was worried that, at some point, the main character would go even further and would kill someone just to get a good story but, fortunately, they never made this mistake. A very good movie

“Since I kept hearing some really good things about this movie, I was really eager to check it out. Well, eventually, it really deserved its solid  reputation and it has been a while since I saw such a strong thriller.
