Neon Genesis Evangelion on yksi historiamme parhaista TV-sarjoista. Ja sen lopetuksesta tuli pienoista mambo jumboa, kun se ei täysin tyydyttänyt faneja. Ja tarvitsee myöntää, että ehkä piskuisen jätti minutkin monttu auki miettimään. The End of Evangelion näyttääkin siis yksinkertaistetun, uuden lopun sarjalle. Joten elokuva on toimiakseen vain ja ainoastaan sarjan nähneille. Sarjasta tuttua upeaa animointia saa nauttia jälleen kerran, mistä päästään toden teolla"

I'm not really sure what I think of this as a movie of it's own, because this is more than anything just an alternate/extended ending for the show it's based on. I for one didn't have no problem with the way the show ended, because one of the best thing was always the fact that it was mainly about the characters and even better when it really got inside their thoughts. That was what I always enjoyed to watch, so perhaps when this at first simply tells what happened to the characters w"
