Unnecessary sequel

This is just a repetition of the first movie's formula. Nothing else. I don't understand why Nicolas Cage keeps doing those kinds of movies...

Review

I didn't particularly think the first movie was astounding, so the second was right in line with that. It's fun to watch the interpretation of the clues and the Indiana Jones-style of adventure and discovery. But, aside from that, it's all far too coincidental and the bad guy's motive were just a joke.

could have been better...

After seeing and loving the first film, honestly, this came as a little bit of a let-down. The first film was good as it is, and did not need this sequel. There were moments which really just imitations of the first part. But I like Nicholas Cage, and Justin Bartha.

I loved this film. It is a great sequel. Nicolas Cage, is definitely one of my top five favorite actors of all-time. I hope they continue to make sequels of "National Treasure".

Book of Secrets

God I love this genre of movies, I love it so much that I can even withstand watching one of my top 5 worst actors in Hollywood, Nic Cage. However, the beauty of this film is, it doesn't matter who plays the lead. Definitely a great followup to the original, and a great number of clues that will undoubtably lead to next installment.

It's been a while since I've seen the first movie in this series, so it's hard for me to compare the two. I can say from what I remember that I enjoyed seeing the first one more, but this was in no way a disaster like some sequels I have seen in the past.
