At First....

“At first I was self-conscious seeing this movie because I kinda liked the first one better, but nonetheless, ABC Family decided they were going to air it last night, so I took the liberty of watching it and..... nope still nothing. Rhys Ifans... Oh, how I adore thee... Maggie Gyllenhaal was just way to much for me, her character was just so out of breath most of the time, but its because of those pesky children of hers. The children verses the cousins I mean. As usual they all mess about and what not, and once again Nanny McPhee ('Thats small C, big P) enters the scene with her stick, and a bird; now to me I was like, a bird this time?

“Even though I didn't like the 1rst movie, since I have a really weak spot for Emma Thompson, I still wanted to check this sequel. Eventually, it was neither worse or better than its predecessor. There was a nice cast (Emma Thompson, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Asa Butterfield, Maggie Smith, Rhys Ifans, Ralph Fiennes and Ewan McGregor) but I thought the story was just so boring... Basically, it is just a rather uninspired and ugly version of Mary Poppins, not much more than that. Honestly, I think it is quite a shame that Emma Thompson who has won before the Academy Award for the best screenplay, is now working on such material. Furthermore, she is a terrific actress and it's a pity that this movie is one of the few opportunities that you have to see her in a lead part. I have to admit that I'm not” read more
