Uma Thurman reminds me of Nicolas Cage. She mostly shows up in forgettable, even worthless pictures (for ex. 'The Accidental Husband') but, from time to time, she picks up the most brilliant movies (for ex. 'Pulp Fiction'). So, beforehand, I wasn't expecting much from this flick. “Uma Thurman reminds me of Nicolas Cage. She mostly shows up in forgettable, even worthless pictures (for ex. 'The Accidental Husband') but, from time to time, she picks up the most brilliant movies (for ex. 'Pulp Fiction'). So, beforehand, I wasn't expecting much from this flick. The ratings were pretty bad, the poster just looked terrible and the premise was honestly not really promising. Still, probably because my expectations were so low, I thought the whole thing was not bad at all. It is above all thanks to Uma Thurman who is virtually in every scenes. Indeed, she delivered a pretty decent and really convincing performance.
