You could write a very long list of the sports films that there have been over the years where we witness a re-telling of one’s story onto the big-screen both inside and outside of their career, and have either been huge successful Oscar contenders or simply films for entertainment alone. I know the rules of baseball (better than American football) but, since I'm European, I'm not really familiar with this sport. Here, it doesn't really matter since it deals with the business side and the story line could be applied to many more sports. I've seen my share of Brad Pitt films and it's seldom that the guy offers up a stinker. Interview w/ a Vampire and Burn After Reading are the only ones I can think of that I hated; even Cool World was better than those two! ;)
