Wenders lured several name actors to a meditative narrative that's pretty much about nothing. In a roach motel housing a set of unique weirdos, a detective searches for the truth involving a murdered artist. At best, it's to see a bloated Bud Cort and Stormare's Lennon-clone (The voice is a hoot).

"The beginning scene of The Million Dollar Hotel could've easily been a music video of U2. There's no question that there have been very beautiful moviepictures again but the rest did put some strangeness to the movie which was a little bit too much. For example the music of U2 or the behaviour of the protagonist Tom Tom. I'm really in love with Jeremy Davies but his character, like all characters here, unfortunately was exaggerated.
