Turkish prison. The term refers directly to a terrible hell, where souls are wiped out, contradicted each individual right is lost and the last drop of hope. The correlation is not a coincidence. Especially after 1978 when the film of Alan Parker, the belief is reflected in the eyes of the civilized world. The scenario may be based on a true recording history, but the opposite-affected-side blamed... read more

To be honest, it has been ages since I have seen this flick and I should definitely re-watch it at some point. Personally, I always had some rather mixed feelings about the damned thing. I remember as if it was yesterday, I was actually blown away by the introduction. Indeed, you had the main character in his hotel room, preparing for his trip, sticking some huge chunk of hashish around his body a... read more

“To be honest, it has been ages since I have seen this flick and I should definitely re-watch it at some point. Personally, I always had some rather mixed feelings about the damned thing. I remember as if it was yesterday, I was actually blown away by the introduction. Indeed, you had the main character in his hotel room, preparing for his trip, sticking some huge chunk of hashish around his body and, all this time, you could hear his heart pounding very loudly. It was a simple idea but so effective and I think I have never seen anything so intense. Then, the guy goes to the airport, through the customs with his heart still pounding louder and louder and the pressure was just huge. I thought it was just spellbinding and nerve-wrecking. This was a very promising beginning but, unfortunately” read more

"Treehouse of Horror II (season 3rd, episode 7th), segment - ''The Monkey's Paw (Lisa)'' ''Near the beginning of the segment, Moroccan soldiers stop and search the Simpsons, finding souvenirs taped to Homer's body which he was attempting to smuggle out of the country. This is a reference to the opening drug-smuggling scene of the film Midnight Express''"

50 Biggest Lies In Biopic History (50 movies items)

" The Untruth: SPOILERS. Billy Hayes (Brad Davis) is incarcerated in a hellish Turkish prison. He makes his escape after killing the most brutal of the guards by ramming a coat hook through his skull. The Truth: Hayes actually escaped by going for a bit of a swim. The script is by Oliver Stone. He's been known to exaggerate a bit. See: The Doors, JFK, Alexander, Born On The Fourth Of July and EVERYTHING HE’S EVER DONE ABOUT AN ACTUAL PERSON. We're only joking Oliver, we love you real"
