Marley and Me- one for dog lovers

7 years, 3 months ago at Feb 22 18:58
I wasn't sure what to expect from this movie. The trailers made it out to be a comedy, but then someone told me to bring tissue. Now knowing that this is a movie that revolved around a dog, I knew I was probably in trouble since I am a big dog lover.

To be honest the owners of this dog put up with a lot more than I would have with my dog. This dog was very costly when you add up ... read more

The worse dog in the world.

It took me a lot of time to watch this movie and I remember not being interested because I never had a dog so why would I even watch it? Today I got interested and I spend two hours loving Marley, at least the first two. Even for someone who never had a dog this movie is so beautiful, touching and it's impossible not to cry. Marley has personality and is so unique that you can relate it with any o... read more

Flawed but tear-jerking...

I had absolutely no desire to see Marley & Me at all because I can't stand either of the two leading actors in this film but after deciding to watch it with some family, I am really glad I saw it! Marley & Me is a true story that teaches many lessons of how much of a difference pets make in a family particularly the children. Marley & Me has now become one of the very rare films that have literall... read more

Adaptation of John Grogan's bestselling memoir about an incorrigible Labrador retriever. Marley is the yellow lab adopted by Grogan, a columnist for the Philadelphia Inquirer, and his wife. Their idea was to give them a taste of parenthood, but the dog proved to be a hyperactive handful. He wreaks havoc, gets kicked out of obedience school and gets even worse when the children begin to arrive, yet becomes an indispensable part of the family.

Movies I Watched On An Airplaine (19 movies items)

"I believe this was the first movie that I watched on my very first international flight (my husband and I flew from Seattle to Amsterdam for our honeymoon in May of 2009). Normally, I'm not a fan of Owen Wilson OR Jennifer Aniston, but I didn't mind them in 'Marley And Me' (I even sort of liked Wilson in a few scenes, although I didn't change my overall opinion of him. But to his credit, he does a nice job in the "goodbye" scene. *sniffle*) Plus, Marley is cute. This isn't necessarily one that "
