Really beautiful scenes, amazing colors... but that's all. You can sleep half the movie and you won't miss the story, 'cause nothing happens (ok, somethings happen, but they happen reeeeeally slowly).

Review

Incredibly similar to 'The Duchess' with Keira Knightley. Yet without someone who is as good an actor as Joseph Fiennes. Kirsten Dunst is not very convincing as Austrian-French royalty. The film does not have much to say and tries to compensate for it with lavish, colourful scenes of palace life. I kept waiting for something meaningful to happen - but, sadly, it didn't.
Unsatisfying.

It was pretty looking

It certainly was a feast for the eyes and from a visual standpoint a really pretty movie.

It felt like I was watching a Vivienne Westwood fashion show at times. If the same attention to detail had gone into the script I may have enjoyed this film more.

Visually Stunning

Marie Antoinette was visually stunning as well as entertaining. For people expecting a period accurate movie, this is not the movie for you.
