The documentary is creativily modeled after heist films but is not as immersive as it could have been. Because of the subject matter the film doesn't turns boring, and there are some good moments in the interview to Petit.
I thought I would like this movie but I didn't expect to love it so much. It is one of my favorite documentary. I didn't expect either that it would be some kind of spellbinding thriller. This whole act may seem rather pointless or meaningless but, for me, it was a real work of Art and this movie perfectly gives this feeling away. In my opinion, it is seriously one of the greatest documentaries ev... read more

"Fascinating documentary about the extraordinary exploits of a Frenchman named Philippe Petit who walked across wire between the two towers of the WTC in New York during 1974. It's really engrossing and goes into the detailed planning that he and his friends did to make the daring stunt work. "
"Hey, we've all had dreams sometime in lives, right?
Some people have dreamt about reaching a million dollars, or reaching the Oval Office in the White House.
Here's a story about a guy who dreamt about reaching between the two tallest buildings in the world (at least, they were the tallest back when this story happened).
And you know how one of the most quoted pieces of advice when pursuing one's dreams is "If you should fall, you just gotta get back up again"?
Well, I'm sure you can see where "

A very interesting documentary. How the film was shot and put together was superb. Trying to capture a moment in time and the grand beautiful meaningless of a perfect moment is a noble effort. The film left me with quite a bit to think about and some things aren't fully explained... still this is perhaps more of a positive aspect then I'm giving the film credit for."

"Life should be lived on the edge of life, You have to exercise rebellion, to refuse to tape yourself to rules, to refuse your own success, to refuse to repeat yourself, to see every day, every year, every idea as a true challenge - and then you are going to live your life on a tightrope."
- Philippe Petit
I enjoyed the documentary I watched last month, so I decided to try another one this month and Man on Wire is another good one, It "
