Decent sequel...

I really wanted to see this one at the cinema but I saw it on DVD but after watching it, I learned that it was worth the wait. It actually surprised me a lot because there are some animated sequels that aren't very good but this is a very enjoyable one. It isn't as good as the first one but still a really good film. The second one has more characters but wasn't as funny as the first one.

I must say I was really surprised by 'Madagascar'. The animation was original and rather gorgeous, the characters were funny and I really enjoyed the plot. It was nothing mindblowing but it was pretty funny and I was entertained throughout the whole thing which I didn't really expected. However, I wasn't really convinced by the idea of a sequel. "The animals try to fly back to New York City, but crash-land on an African wildlife refuge, where Alex is reunited with his parents. Actually pretty enjoyable. Funny scenes throughout especially with the penguins and old lady. Good to see the back story of Alex's character. Fun new characters and all in all a sweet movie. "
