La commedia nera più divertente e ritmata che io abbia mai visto.

The more fun and rhythmic black comedy that I've ever seen.

One of the greatest movies ever, if you ask me

It's really sad that a movie like this is ignored in favor of Top Gun (Tom Cruise is overrated!). But anyway, let me explain what I truly feel about Little Shop of Horrors.

Generally, I, like the rest of the world, show disdain at remakes. However, this movie is one of the few good remakes out there. The original Roger Corman movie was good, even though it's hard to hear in some pla... read more

Description: Business blooms at Mushnik's Flower Shop when an exotic potted plant called Audrey II arrives. It turned out to be a carnivorous "mean, green mother from outer space", filling that little shop with lotsa horrors. "Little Shop of Horrors" first flowered in a low-budget 1960 Roger Corman movie, resprouted as a smash 1980 off-Broadway musical and now comes full circle in this 1986 movie musical adaptation of the stage hit with a score by multiple Academy Award winners Alan Menken and Howard Ashman. An all-star cast of comedy pros spreads tentacles of pleasure. And this DVD is packed with new and never- ... (more)

100 Great 'Fun' 80s Movies (100 movies items)

"'Little Shop of Horrors' was a hit comedy-horror rock musical based on the off-Broadway adaptation of Roger Corman's low budget 1960 comedy about Seymour, an assistant at a flower shop in a New York slum who nurtures a strange, small plant into a huge, gaping-mouthed killing machine by feeding it on blood. This big, camp production, directed by Frank Oz, is a bad-taste blast which could have been all the better had it been allowed to retain its now legendary original ending, in which the vicious"

2015 Horror Journal (134 movies items)

" Seeing as I enjoyed the original, I thought I'd give this remake a try. I'm not a fan of musicals, at all. So it goes without saying that you have to do something special in order to make me like this genre. And I'm rather baffled in this one's case. This film is considered a classic, even more so than the original, and I'm left wondering why. None of the songs are memorable, the characters are frequently irritating and the film is hardly ever as funny as it thinks it is. Most of the jokes fel"

Movies according to my dreams (22 movies items)

"SPOILER ALERT In a cut directed by Peter Jackson in his horror days, it ends like both the theatrical cut and the director's cut combined, only Audrey II is confronted by zombies and then blasted by a mysterious figure, setting Seymour free. As they walk off into the distance, various monsters arrive through an alley way as the credits roll, including an even larger version of the Monster in the Closet, who exposes to the public a ball made to look like the earth. Off-camera, he takes a bite ou"

Movie Reviews (1051-1100) (50 movies items)

" The Ups: It is impossible to hate the image of a singing man-eating plant from space. Catchy songs in a great musical update of a sci fi-horror lowbudget cult movie. Steve Martin does one of his greatest roles as the sadistic dentist and Rick Morranis has never gotten the chance for a better screen leading role than here. It is possible to watch a happy ending or the darker monster "director's cut" feature. The Downs: Well you have to decide between two versions and both actually work in their"

One of the greatest movies ever, if you ask me

“It's really sad that a movie like this is ignored in favor of Top Gun (Tom Cruise is overrated!). But anyway, let me explain what I truly feel about Little Shop of Horrors.

Generally, I, like the rest of the world, show disdain at remakes. However, this movie is one of the few good remakes out there. The original Roger Corman movie was good, even though it's hard to hear in some places due to being made in 1960. Then, in the early 80's, two men named Howard Ashman and Alan Menken had an idea: turn this obscure darkly comic B-movie into a successful musical that is not only a dark comedy, but also a romance. And then Warner Bros. and Geffen Records had an idea: adapt the successful musical into a movie, and during the holidays in 1986, it was released and did fairly well both fina” read more

" I was actually in this stage play in middle school. No major part though. I was like Audrey II leaf #3 or some shit. But I just love the fact that they made a full blown musical out of an old Corman B-Movie."
