"I wish, for just one day, Dad couldn't tell a lie." We're all aware of the cliché that all lawyers are perpetual liars, but what if a lawyer was only capable of telling the truth? Would this put an end to their career? Would this prevent them from winning a case altogether? Taking this concept a tad further, could any of us survive a day without telling a single porky? This film is 24-carat comedy GOLD. I look back on it with such fond memories. It's a classic Jim Carrey role as a lawyer who, thanks to a birthday wish by his son, can not tell a lie for the next 24 hours. Throughout the course of the following day you realise how much of his daily banter is based on lies and ego-boosting remarks, but more importantly, he has an impending court case that could drastically improve his career should he win it.

The lengths he goes to in order to try and get the case postponed are hilarious and the scene where he begins 'kicking his own ass' in the toilets had me laughing away like a maniac when I first saw it. Classic Jim Carrey comedy with a family theme!
