I would have to say that after watching it as a refresher it is an ok movie. I watch a ton of monster movies, they are one of my favorite genres, but this one is a little odd. It does follow the thing, but then again it has this whole underwater feel. It is really not that hard to impress me with a movie, but this one fell just a little short of a perfect score. It was pretty much a monster that combines and keeps combining with its victims, but also mutating into a super-fish type creature. The special effects were about a B-Movie type, which is not bad, but it did look a little cheap. I mean I love B-Movies, I watch them all the time, but this was a little boarderline for me. Leviathan

Leviathan is the underwater version of "The Thing/The Blob" where Peter Weller and his crew battle battle a mutagen 16,000 feet below the Atlantic. Its also got a little bit of an "Alien" feel as well with the whole futuristic theme. Not bad, but not great.
