"Everybody thinks I'm suicidal, in which case, I'm fucked and nobody wants to work with me; or they think I'm faking to draw a psycho pension, in which case, I'm fucked and nobody wants to work with me. Basically, I'm fucked."

Die Hard always ranks high on lists of favourite "alternative" Christmas films, but it's not the only Yuletide-themed actioner that deserves attention. Produc... read more

There's no doubt about it, the Lethal Weapon films are pure entertainment. In fact, you could call them genre-defining considering how many films about unorthodox police partnerships it managed to spawn.

Mel Gibson plays the classic loose cannon cop whose reckless methods don't sit too well with his new, quiet, "3 days to retirement" family man partner Danny Glover. Or the cheif of ... read more

I haven't seen a lot of Buddy Cop movies, but so far this is the best one. Mel Gibson and Danny Glover star as two very different cops who become partners. I know it may sound cliched, but it's actually really great. Richard Donner directs, and he does one hell of a job too. Lots of action, you definitely won't get bored during this movie. I usually don't like Mel Gibson, but I actually liked him... read more

Fantasy Death Matches (44 movies items)

"John McClane vs Martin Riggs Martin Riggs and John McClane are two tough badass cops and them being in a death match which would a great fight. John McClane and Martin Riggs are similar type of cops who would do anything to get the job done. The are also crazy and these two in a fist fight would be bloody."

My Favorite 175 Films From The 80's, y'all. (175 movies items)

"Mel Gibson as a do-gooder whose tends to go a bit unhinged at times. Considering the the craziness has been coming to light & has help to keep MG's name in the entertainment news media lately, who knew that this would eventually become a case of life imitating art. "

Favourite Movie Lines (20 movies items)

" "All dressed up and no one to blow." - Roger Murtagh This is one of those lines that makes me go, "Why didn't I think of that?". It seems like such an obvious pun and yet I would have never thought of it. Deceptively clever. I love a great pun. It's also just the sort of verbal delight you'll find peppered throughout the best '80s and '90s action pictures."

Top 20 Crazy Bastards (20 movies items)

"14. MARTIN RIGGS in LETHAL WEAPON Mel Gibson's spot in the Hall of Mentalists was assured last year after he went on the mother of all benders (please God let the phrase 'Sugar Tits' stand the test of time) but if you look back on his resum, you'll see he's played more than a few crazy sons of bitches in his time. Perhaps the most unhinged is Los Angeles rookie Martin Riggs, the cop with a death wish and nothing left to live for. "Do you wanna hear that sometimes I think about eating a b"
