"Do you want to hear what I did to Mari? I bet you do. Pervert. You want to hear how tight your little homecoming queen was?"
Among the latest fads in Hollywood is to remake every other horror movie released throughout the 1970s and '80s. Predictably, this has caused an outcry of criticism and a number of bad films to clutter the cinematic climate. However, Wes Craven's directorial ... read more
Cliche. The corniest final scene I've seen in a while. I watched this movie because it was on the list of films that disturbed quite a few people. Perhaps they were talking about the original because I was a bit disappointed by this one. I gave it 6 stars for the revenge. As much as I wanted to scream MICROWAVES DON'T WORK WITH THE DOOR OPEN!!!!" I have to admit that the antagonists of this one go... read more
If one of your loved ones is physically wounded and possibly on the brink of death, and the people responsible for the horrible deed are next door, are you going to make every effort to save your loved one, or are you going to go on a vengeful rampage against those people next door? The answer is logically the former, though it's not the case for the characters in The Last House on the Left. It's ... read more

Bringing one of the most notorious thrillers of all time to a new generation, they produce the story that explores how far two ordinary people will go to exact revenge on the sociopaths who harmed their child. The night she arrives at the remote Collingwood lakehouse, Mari (Sara Paxton) and her friend are kidnapped by a prison escapee and his crew. And when her family learns the horrifying story, they will make three strangers curse the day they came to The Last House on the Left.... (more)(less)
“I liked this modern take of a old cult classic, and actually liked it better then the first one. One violent scene is a bit full on, but this movie is about violence and making you want to hate the perpetrators. I like this more then the first one, because it was more realistic and brutal without being silly. I like realistic horror, because it could happen to you which makes the story even more scarier. The story is good, and the actors good this is your average run of the mill revenge graphic horror tale, but not a bad one to miss.” read more

Kovasti kehuttu ja re-maken uudeksi pyhäinkuvaksi hehkutettu Viimeinen talo vasemmalla taitaa taas pönkittää uskomustani, kuinka näiden video nastyista ja muista vanhoista pahamaineisuuksista tehtyjen "oikeasti hyvien" hollyttelyversioiden katselu on pelkkää ajanhukkaa. Vaikka satavuotiaaksi eläisin, en kuitenkaan kaikkia mieltäni kiehtovia elokuvia ehtisi katsoa, joten jospa nyt laittaisitte stoppia The Last House on the Leftin tasoisten huokausten minulle lainaam"
"You know what Mari? I think Justin here could be kind of cute if he lost his whole like creepy, hooded Unabomber kind of vibe he's got going on. Don't you think?
One of the few horror movies I actually liked.

Joo. Näyttää just samalta kuin tuorein Perjantai 13. filmatisointi. Plussaa toki on annettava pahimpien adhd-leikkausten ja nu metallin puutteesta. Musiikkivideolta nä"
“Wes Craven's first film was a crude but shocking horror opus that, like George A. Romero's Night of the Living Dead (1968), became a grind house hit largely because it went much further than terror films before it had been willing to go. Often compared to Ingmar Bergman's stark medieval rape drama The Virgin Spring (1960) (though one wonders whether this was influence or just coincidence), Last House on the Left follows a group of teenage girls heading into the city when they hook up with a gang of drug-addled ne'er-do-wells and are brutally murdered. The killers find their way to the home of one of their victim's parents, where both father and mother exact a horrible revenge. Like Tobe Hooper's The Texas Chainsaw Massacre two years later, Last House on the Left was an unrelievedly dark vi” read more
