I love Sophia Loren. Before seeing this movie I loved her because she was glamorous, an sex symbol of Old Hollywood, and a living legend. I had seen her in several American roles, and thought that she was pretty, but mostly just a gifted comic actress. I had no idea she was capable of this: the earthy sexuality, the emotional honesty and depth, and how deep she was willing to go. I had to go back and look at some more of her old Italian films, and, sure enough, she is a fantastic actress. But, like every actor, there is always one performance that stands out amongst the others. This is Sophia Loren's greatest moment.
