"Kuffs is a washout — not to mention a terrible title (it sounds like something you'd call your dog). The movie spends its entire running time trying to convince you it's something other than a cheesy heap of cop-thriller clichés.
Attitude used to be something you earned instead of just tried on like a baseball cap.

"November 10
This was actually a funny movie. I didn't think the beginning was that good, but it did get funnier when Christian Slater was training to be a cop. I liked the breaking the fourth wall style the movie had. I think it made the movie more interesting."

"Re-watch - Sept. 8th/9th
In the wake of Sunset Boulevard and On Golden Pond, I decided I needed something fun & simple before tackling any other "serious" works. So I took another look at Kuffs, a film I loved in my teens & early 20s. I still dig it, but it's far from perfect or even great. Solidly entertaining though (unless you hate Christian Slater, in which case maybe not) and fun if a bit cliche & obvious at times. Ah, and the time of the film's events really doesn't work out, but since it"

"I realize Christian Slater is basically a Jack Nicholson clone, but I've enjoyed his films anyway. This one earns bonus points for breaking the 4th wall, and it's an excellent action-comedy.
(The only trailer I could find for Kuffs was too horrible in quality to share.)"
