"Things are different now, I have to protect the one thing that I can't live without."

Kicking off Phase Two of Marvel's interconnected series of superhero adventures, Iron Man 3 is a raging success, a comic book movie with depth, smarts and a marvellous sense of fun. The director of the first two Iron Man pictures, Jon Favreau, did not return to helm this third instalment, and his ... read more

My expectations were way too much high for this movie. I couldn't be more disappointed. What the hell Mr. Shane Black?! Awful. It almost made Green Lantern seems like a good movie. What a pity. Great potential, and it was destroyed...

Tony Stark is in many ways a changed man. Yes he his still glib and suave but once the spotlight is off he shows a more vulnerable persona. The fact that he spends more time out of the suit than it shows how much he has been traumatized by the events of The Avengers and the attack of the terrorist, Mandarin.

Robert Downey Jr really shines here playing it both loose and tense as he s... read more

“Clueless. The plot is complete mess. Terrible jokes. The characters are a joke, too.On the other hand, a few spectacular scenes, some charming actors and and my old love for Marvel heroes gave me the strength to watch it till the end, but it wasn't easy.” read more

Trash.

“i usually don't review movies based on comics because they all are the same, big budget clusterfuck with enormous plot mistakes, shitty stories and flat out terrible performances, but i'm gonna go out on the limb here cause this fucking movie made 1.2 billion dollars.

A lot of people watched it because of robert downey jr, and yeah i get it, he's charming and funny, and carried out the franchise all by himself, but please try not to be biased and let's talk about the movie, it was horrible, the story was weak, forced and have absolutely no events going on, Ben Kingsley delivered an insultingly terrible performance along with Guy Pearce who lost his acting capabilities over the years, so what we have here is completely unnecessary sequel other than to cash-in on the "die-hard-fans” read more

“Curiosities Iro man 3

Iron man 3 was the highest grossing movie of 2013 raising 1.215 billion dollars, beating films like Fast and Furios 6, The Hunger Games 2: Aflame And GRU

In the talk with Tony and the War Machine Mandarin there is a game on TV, which the Mandarin celebrates a goal , it is a match between Liverpool and Chelsea presumably ( from the color of the kit ) .

The child that is Star Lord Tony could be but in the present as the child's name is Harley, but the full name is Peter Lord Harley Star Quill.

This film is quite the comic away , so we must anaizarla focusing only to marvel cinematic universe . Not that the Mandarin does not exist, but that it is the Mandarin Killian . He himself said it and also wore tattoos. Yes, a little annoyin” read more

“Artfully blends the humor and heart of the first films with a force to heavy-metal - and a well deserved obscurity. Iron Man 3 'breaks into the big screen with the right mix of explosions, bullets, jokes and pranks superhero to prove that he still has a lot of energy to this metal hero.” read more

"Iron Man 3" (2013)

“FIRST IMPRESSIONS

Tony Stark's world is shattered by a ruthless terrorist known as the Mandarin, forcing him back to basics with minimal hardware as he sets out to find his nemesis.

As a fan of all these interconnected Marvel movies, naturally I was looking forward to this one. And, while I don't think it's one of the best overall, when it's good, it's really good.

There were a few things that bothered me, so let's get those out of the way first. It tries to be more psychological than the first two movies by making Tony prone to panic attacks following the events of The Avengers, but nothing significant ever comes of that. It's also far more unexpectedly gruesome than the first two, including several scenes of torture. And the ending seems like it's trying to ” read more

One of a fine trilogy

“It's weird, the movie starts without the opening credits. Soon it begins you will forget everything but the only focus on the movie and the story. Like other two 'Iron Man' I liked this third movie as well but this movie was a little lacked in high-octane action stunts. But still no short for an entertainment.

'Iron Man 3' one of a most anticipated movie of the year. I still don't understand this movie and 'Avenvegers' are connected or separate stream stories because Tony behaves like there's one like he suffers from post traumatic stress disorder. Anyway this movie was a bit more dramatised than stunts, it tells his earlier time mistake which creates a deadly enemy for the present. I always wondered such a good actress, Gwyneth Paltrow, appearances in earlier two movies were so ” read more

“Ok so here we go Iron man 3 the first movie in marvels phase 2 this is the first iron man not directed by Jon Favreau. You can totally tell that this is not his movie this easily is the darkest of the iron man films. Though keeping with a light feeling with comedy which was the best of the three films while some of it did feel misplaced i didn't have a problem with it and it didn't take away from the overall experience. Now this is one thing i really liked about the film is that you get to see tony use his intelligence in this more so then in iron man 2 this takes me back to Iron man 1 when he is in the cave building his suit.

Now this is one thing i didn't expect in the film so ill give them credit for trying to try do something different. I just didn't like what they did to The” read more

Impressive third installment.

“In addition to serving as the third installment in the Iron Man series, the events of Iron Man 3 take place soon after The Avengers. Following the success of that film, expectations were exceedingly high of what audiences were to expect in Tony Stark’s next adventure. However, Iron Man 3 underwent a number of changes compared to the two predecessors, particularly Shane Black replacing Jon Favreau as director and judging by the trailer, it had an eerie and more personal touch to it. Considering the changes compared to the film’s predecessors, Iron Man 3 is a fantastic installment into the trilogy and is another Marvel triumph.

Director Shane Black’s deliverance of creative humour and dialogue in his debut feature Kiss Kiss Bang Bang in 2005 was displayed once again in Iron M” read more

Engaging, fun and full of spectacular action!

“The last Iron Man film was severely lacking a great villainous feeling, the action seemed like it went nowhere, and even the wittiness we have come to expect from Tony Stark just fell flat. All of that was back for Iron Man 3, making it perhaps the most engaging and entertaining of the series so far.

America is under attack from a terrorist known as The Mandarin, and when Tony Stark’s good friend Happy Hogan is left in a coma, Stark issues a threat to the Mandarin starting a war that this time Stark may not be able to win.

All of the key players are back, including Robert Downey Junior, Gwyneth Paltrow and Don Cheadle, this time under the direction of Shane Black instead of Jon Favreau( who reprised his role as Hogan). Not only was the film directed by Black, but the” read more

An average movie

“Like anyone else, I was rather disappointed by 'Iron Man 2' but, as usual, they promised that the following installment would be darker and simply better. And, indeed, it seems to be a massive box-office success following 'The Avengers' released the year before. Anyway, how was the damned thing eventually? Honestly, I thought it was a slight improvement on the previous sequel but not much more I'm afraid. Don't misunderstand me though, it wasn't a bad movie, far from it, and there were many things that I enjoyed a lot. Indeed, Robert Downey Jr. rocked as usual and was very often hilarious. The whole anxiety thing was also interesting even if if they didn't spend much time on this and it was nice as well that they developed his relationship with Pepper Potts . Finally, the action scenes wer” read more

Quintessential Shane Black

The fact that he spends more time out of the suit than it shows how much he has been traumatized by the events of The Avengers and the attack of the terrorist, Mandarin.

Robert Downey Jr really shines here playing it both loose and tense as he shows how Stark finds this reserve of character and steadfastness to do what is necessary to save those he loves.

Iron Man 3 is quintessential Shane Black - full of dark humor and unexpected twists. He loves to subvert your expectations in a way that will have you alternating laughter with sounds of amazement.

The action builds to a number of amazing set pieces - the monkey-in-a-barr” read more

The director of the first two Iron Man pictures, Jon Favreau, did not return to helm this third instalment, and his replacement was Shane Black, a filmmaker who's been writing screenplays since the 1980s and who helped to reboot Robert Downey Jr.'s career with his superlative directorial debut Kiss Kiss Bang Bang. Black was an inspired choice for the picture, retaining his penchant for red herrings, black humour, snappy dialogue and intense action scenes.
