Review
The plot revolves around the kidnapping of a young boy who is mistakenly identified as the son of a powerful corporate shoe salesman. Torn between whether he stake everything on paying the ransom for the son of his chauffer, or taking over the company he works for, the film culminates in the police searching for the criminal responsible for the kidnapping. I was left feeling quite sad at the end. It's not a totally happy ending and you genuinely feel for Mifune, even though he doesn't utter many words on screen.
