A Love/Hate Thing

Posted : 1 month, 2 weeks ago at Oct 1 11:24
The entire time I watched this movie i felt like i was watching my favorite story come to life thru the eye of a simpleton who had given 50% effort. The story of book 6 is the pinacle of Harry Potter. I waited 3 hours for this! There were so many things they changed, or took out completely. They changed several key points to the whole vanishing wardrobe part; and that Ginny/Harry kiss...nothing like the book. Call me a silly romantic but the kiss scene after winning the house cup was one of my favorites. The thing that bothered me the most was the added scene where the Weasley's house is set on fire. There are so many things wrong with that scene. Yes i like the comradery of the scene and Ginny running to help, but there are so many things that were actually in the book they could have put...Read more

That long and for what?

This was the most humorous of the Harry Potter films so far. I love comedy and it was not as dry as the previous films. I know its hard to make movies as good as the books but the ending was utterly and horribly weak. I was left disappointed, it just didn't feel like I just finished watching the Harry Potter movie? I mean I waited in line for the midnight showing and I wish I hadn't. It was a major let down. The actors and everything about the movies is great but the story line and skipping over some parts that I think and many think are vital to the plot. I just can't get over that ending though. I mean seriously it should have had a bigger part with the funeral and what not especially the with the phoenix. I did however like the part where everyone surrounded the body and pointe...Read more

Harry Potter e o Enigma do Príncipe

Posted : 3 months, 3 weeks ago at Jul 28 0:33

Could have been so much better

Posted : 3 months, 3 weeks ago at Jul 27 20:15
So...I've seen it twice now. The first time I was so overwhelmed by emotion that I had trouble sorting out my thoughts. This is my second favorite of the books for several reasons. Among them the fact that this is basically Draco and Snape's story. Even as much as it is Harry's and Tom's. The book itself is flawed, but there are many points in the story that I can't help but love, despite the ridiculous teenage drama. The movie is far less so. Obviously, it can't follow the book exactly. That would have taken three movies worth. But there were some distinct disappointments when it came to things left out, or reactions in general. Overall, worth a viewing, but I wouldn't expect it to be the best of the series if you have yet to see it. **Spoilers past here** Watching t...Read more

One of the better in ther series

Posted : 3 months, 3 weeks ago at Jul 26 23:39
I went into this hoping for the best of the series cosidering its my 2nd fav book in the series, but what I got was a good movie, but alot of the changes from the book to the movies upset me. Thats why I didnt give it a 10/10. SPOILERS ALERT SPOILERS ALERT Just to name a few things that upset me. Harry & Ginny relationship one of the best parts of the book is a small part in the movie. Plenty of scenes thatwould of been great Ron Witnessing Harry & Ginny kissing after the match. ROn geting jealous. When Harry & Dumbledore got to the cliffs to retrieve the Horacrux when Dumbledore's drinking the liquid, the bok was 10x more intense. Then of course the biggest dissappointment Dumbledore's funeral not even mentioned or seen in the movie. With them splitting up the last movie into a 2 ...Read more

Potter needs a shave?...So Dumbledore doesn't?!

Posted : 4 months ago at Jul 22 21:48
''Ah, Harry... you need a shave.'' As Harry Potter begins his 6th year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, he discovers an old book marked mysteriously "This book is the property of the Half-Blood Prince" and begins to learn more about Lord Voldemort's dark past. Daniel Radcliffe: Harry Potter Expecting the worse is sometimes a necessary evil, I mean why shouldn't I? Especially when my favourites Gary Oldman and Ralph Fiennes are not even in the film to give proceedings the fire and passion that is required. What Half Blood Prince bombards us with next is a blaze and whirl of parodies and comedic happenings which make me find it hard to take seriously. Dumbledore taking a magazine out of a toilet, which isn't pornographic but some knitting mag is almost a shot in th...Read more

Harry Potter flies again

Posted : 4 months, 1 week ago at Jul 16 15:14
When I go to watch a movie I want to be entertained. I'm not one of those people that nitpicks through a movie criticizing the minute details of what was on the screen. I was thoroughly entertained while watching this movie. It was funny, sad, adventurous, action packed, suspenseful, and great fun to watch. I loved that fact that so many families had come together to watch the movie and from what I could tell were also greatly entertained. Even though Harry is always the main focus of these stories, Dumbledore plays a very prominent role in this movie. He enlists Harry on a mission that will have a major consequences if he is successful. Hence the famous qoute, "Once again Harry, I ask too much of you." The other major subplot in the movie has to do with Draco and what his missio...Read more

Once Again I Ask Too Much Of You Harry.

The 6th and latest chapter in the Harry Potter Series, Drawing more of a picture and leading you through another School year at Hogwart's School. The Half Blood Prince finds it's way to being the title and important in this story Because Harry stumbles upon a Potions book, and while looking to see who it belonged to last; it states only that it belonged to the half blood prince. Filled with better guessitmations on potions and spells and such makes professors and students that much more inclined to think that he is the chosen one. The point of this movie did get across to viewers to my left and to my right in the theatre; but did not deliver the goods like the last chapter did. Yes, there were unfortunate things that occured, but even people who read these agreed this movie was just a lead...Read more
