Happy Feet (2006)

The idea of penguins being "sexy" is just about the creepiest thing I've ever seen. I cannot understand the fascination that people have with animals doing human things. The movie was also far too slow (and long!) to capture a child's interest.

Who wouldnt love this movie?? It has an awesome soundtrack to go with it aswell.. but what is it with penguin movies lately?? Anyway, im pretty sure that most people would enjoy this.

this movie is so successful. It is (regarding story, animation, characters, technical) one of the less attractive computer animated films.
The singing and dancing seldom sounds well together and all this "lets make a medley of pop songs" has been done before.

So its no movie to watch alone (boring), with friends (bad singing) or family (st dark, 80s-style environmental).

Disappointing ...

This was one of the best movies I've seen all year. I took my daughter to see it and she was captivated. She even got up in the theatre and danced around like the penguins. (It was a very empty theatre on Christmas Day, thankfully!) I loved how the film could work on very many levels. I've read other reviews, and just about everyone who's written about this seems to have their own perspective on the movie. I think that's what works best about it. There are a lot of ways you can look at the theme of the movie. I think the movie is mostly about how one person can really make a difference if they are not afraid to do what they do best. I watched this one with my family and we all had a good time. The animation was excellent and fun to watch. The setting of the movie was very well designed and believable. We all laughed and cheered on Mumble as he went after the girl and tried to figure out why their food supply was disappearing. The music was well performed and very upbeat. You'll be singing along or tapping your feet during many of the scenes. My only let down of the film was the way that politics entered into the movie. When I watch a movie with my family I don't really want politics to enter into the moment. I could tell when Mumbles goes off on his own that we were in for a political moment.
