Lavishly produced and with a wonderfully evocative christmas/gothic feel this was one of the surprises of the year for me. A lot of asian cinema horror tends to revolve around soggy children slowly crawling menacingly at you and whilst the technique is effective when first seen, for myself Sadako crawling out of the TV will FOREVER haunt my nightmares, the effect quickly loses a lot of it's power.
