Hannibal Lecter: People don't always tell you what they are thinking. They just see to it that you don't advance in life.

10 years have passed and Dr. Lecter is living under a disguise in Florence, Italy as an art scholar. Back in his home country of America agent Clarice Starling(Moore) is the center of a botched drug raid which resulted in one of the drug dealers being shot with a... read more

"People don't always tell you what they are thinking. They just see to it that you don't advance in life."

The character of Dr. Hannibal Lector is one of the most brooding, foreboding screen villains in history. Michael Mann translated Lector from written literature to film with Manhunter. That film had Brian Cox portraying the title role.

But when Silence of the Lamb... read more

Well,... the first time I watched this, the sequel of 'The Silence of the Lambs', I think it was cool. But when I re-watched it, I changed my mind.

The first thing it's about the acting. Disappointed. Yes, VERY disappointed. The most disappointed was Clarice Starling. I always like both Jodie Foster and Jullianne Moore. But Foster's Starling can't be replaced. No doubt, she was bril... read more

Movie Diary 2014 (30 movies items)

"Rating changed from 7.0 to 6.0 Whereas The Silence of the Lambs is genuinely one of the best movies I've seen, not to mention the fact that it's clearly the best of the Hannibal franchise, Hannibal is not quite as good. As an avid fan of the franchise, I am rather disappointed in Hannibal. And I always loved the fact that Lecter had a very intimate relationship with Clarice as well as in a way with Will Graham. But in Hannibal I just don't feel any chemistry between Julianne Moore and Anthony H"

"As a love story at the heart of it, its the least of the Lecter films in my opinion, but refreshing at the same time. I really missed out on the Memory Palace from the novel, wich i would have loved to see in this film, but alas, no such scene. But its good to see our little cannibal walk free a change. Movie Reviews (part 10) (50 movies items)

" The Ups: Anthony Hopkins is still an effective Hannibal and the story line is engaging (at least to begin with). The Downs: Gary Oldman looking like a puppet (probably the reason for the existence of the figurine in the "Saw" movies). An over-the-top ending with Ray Liotta taking his top off doesn't help. Julianne Moore looks fantastic but is hard to take her as a replacement for the more natural-looking Jodie Foster even if I try to be free-minded about it. "
