It became the benchmark for popular epic cinema for decades. The film is monumental enough to be beyond criticism.

It tidies up a lot of complex history… Dressed up with 1939 Technicolor, pastel-pretty for the dresses and blazing red for the passions, and a thunderous Max Steiner score, this still has a fair claim to be considered one of the best pictures of Hollywood filmmaking.<... read more

The first real epic melodrama film brought to screen, after 70's years it still stands up to today's standards. Gone With The Wind is a must watch movie, at times it is long but the story will get you through it. All the actors involved did a fantastic job, as well as the directors Sam Wood and George Cukor. This movie is a visual masterpiece, as well as a technical masterpiece. Gone With The Wind... read more

" Note : I thought it was indeed pretty good and I could see why it was so loved and was such a success. However, I can say I was really blown away by the whole thing. Indeed, the directing was solid, the costums and sets were gorgeous and Cl"

This movie is a visual masterpiece, as well as a technical masterpiece. Gone With The Wind achieved so much, and for good reason every aspect of the film is brilliant, from the story to the acting, to the directing, set pieces. This is a stunning movie, and one to watch before you die.” read more
