one of the best

It became the benchmark for popular epic cinema for decades. The film is monumental enough to be beyond criticism.

It tidies up a lot of complex history… Dressed up with 1939 Technicolor, pastel-pretty for the dresses and blazing red for the passions, and a thunderous Max Steiner score, this still has a fair claim to be considered one of the best pictures of Hollywood filmmaking.<... read more

The most incredible movie ever!!! Vivien Leigh is one of my top favorite actresses, as well as Clark Gable was one my favorite actors. There is no way to really describe how fantastic this movie is. It has to be watched to be appreciated!!!

I saw this film for free... I still want my money back! This is, next to Singin' in the Rain, the single most overrated film that I've ever seen. It is an irredeemable 4 hours that only had one good moment, the "Frankly my dear, I don't give a damn."! Scarlett is downright annoying. She bugged me SO much! I can actually see how somebody could like this film, but it is definitely not for me, no tha... read more

Movie Reviews (part 7) (50 movies items)

" The Ups: Grandiose. Excellent Technicolor photography. Not a penny isn't up on the screen. Riveting acting centered by Vivien Leigh's tour-de-force performance. Full of quotable dialogue. The Downs: It changes character and becomes a full-blooded soap opera in the second act with a lot of sudden and dramatic deaths that will become too much for some even if the ending will not be logical without them (At least it happens more in this film than in twenty years of certain day-time soaps).
