Gone in 60 Seconds is one of the least memorable films I've had the (dis)pleasure of watching. It has an interesting enough plot, but is only used as an attractive gold wrapper to hide the fact that underneath it is a boring, sloppy film that's mostly concerned with the relationship of two brothers - who don't even look like brothers. Cousins, understandable. It has a great cast, even that bunny f... read more
Somewhere, in the mid- 90’s, Nicolas Cage thought he should become an action star and even though his first attempt was actually pretty decent (‘The Rock’) , the rest has been going from average to downright terrible. This flick is a pretty good example of those tepid features he made in the last 20 years. Apparently, this time, it was a remake from a rather obscure 70’s flick. To be hones... read more

“Gone in 60 Seconds, is a remake of a classic 1974 movie of the same name. Some movies can be modernized and this one easily could have, and with a great storyline you would think the producers would stick with the basic story, and change it up and maybe put some better car scenes in it. No sorry they changed the story, and I think it was a bad mistake. The story focuses on two brothers Memphis and Kip, Memphis has left his borther so he would change his life for the good. Kip enters the life his brother did not want him to, and ends up in trouble with a drug lord. As in the orginal film, they are expected to steal 50 cars in 78 hours instead of 48 in 5 days. Some parts are good, and overall it is not that bad. Like the said I think they should have focused on the basic story, and thrown in” read more

It has a great cast, even that bunny from Donnie Darko makes an appearance here, but all of them are criminally underused; mostly through cheap shots, uninspiring editing, low-level script - although the script for Delroy Lindo was quite cool; or maybe he was the only worthy actor / character in the film - and a very boring feel to it. In short, Gone in 60 Seconds runs like a slow internet connection. "

"Memphis Raines and Eleanor
The way Memphis takes care of Eleanor is magic, all ladies would love a man like that. Yeah he beat her up, but he stayed by her side while she recoverd now that is a man. What an amazing love story, love is about sticking with each other through sickness and health.

To be honest, I haven’t seen this movie but it didn’t look great whatsoever but who knows? I might be mistaken… Basically, it is one of those tedious action movies which tries to make you forget that the plot is really abysmal by throwing at you some ‘bad-ass’ action scenes. The only issue is that even though those action scenes were not bad, they were not really impressive enough. Still, I must ad” read more

"Eleanor
1967 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500
Two cars were used in the film. One was used for the action sequences, the other for sexy shots. Even the cars seem to use stunt doubles.

" 8 STARS vs 5 STARS
Honestly, the original wasn't all that great. It wasn't hard to top it either. With the updated version we have Ribisi (in a perfect supporting role for him), Cage (whose quirkiness I enjoy - though this isn't his best), Jolie (who I discovered looks much better as a blonde), and a host of great actors in supporting roles.
This remake was just plain fun to watch!"
