Bond movies, although hyped up, are really thrilling and the majority of the time excellent. Sean Connery is clearly James bond in my book. He made Bond a household name and gave him swagger. It's a pleasure to comment on a film like this in negative form: Not as good as Dr. No or The Spy Who Loved Me. It's better! Waaay better and probably the best Bond film I've seen so far!

" The Ups: Full of memorable moments. A laser beam that almost split 007 in two. More comedic with several great one-liners. THAT title song. The Aston Martin with the ejection seat. Shirley Eaton painted in gold. The Downs: That the formula is so familiar that it has been repeated in almost every single 007-movie from that point on and almost any Hollywood blockbusters too.
