I'm surprised by the low rating of this film, as I personally don't see what was that bad about it. It was somewhat strange and perhaps didn't make complete sense (maybe that's what I found so appealing).

It's true though, considering the actors in this film, it could have been a much better movie. It was very promising and could have been great, but it still wasn't that bad.

When you have several good actors, a producer who knows what should be done and an extremely interesting timeline – the good movie is guaranteed. After seeing “Godsend “, the movie took its well deserved place in my all time favorite titles list.

While watching the movie I there were few moments when my heard miss a beat – the bathing scene is for sure one of them, but that ... read more

Why is the average rating for this so low? It wasn't at all that bad, I admit it wasn't one of the best Robert De Niro films I have seen, but it was decent and worth watching to say the least.

The story is actually very original and unlike no other film I have seen before. It's basically about a couple who loose their son early to an accident. A genetics expert then confronts them a... read more

Description: The trials of parenthood are at the forefront of this murky horror effort that recalls 1970s child-possession hits like AUDREY ROSE ('77) and The EXORCIST ('73). Inner-city school teacher Paul (Greg Kinnear) and his wife Jessica (Rebecca Romijn-Stamos) are distraught after losing their eight-year-old son David (Cameron Bright) in an accident. At the funeral, Jessica's old science professor Dr. Wells (Robert Deniro) offers them a chance to rebuild their lives: a mansion in the country near his DNA clinic, a private school teaching job for Paul, and an exact clone of their dead son. Sworn to secrecy and facing all sorts of moral i ... (more)

Movie Reviews (1851-1900) (50 movies items)

" An intriguing premise falls completely apart from the moment they decided to turn this film into a horror movie when it would have been better as a drama. The director has no competence or understanding on how to end the film either and it gets dumber and dumber for each minute. All the actors run around like headless chicken and deNiro seem totally distanced. Rebecca Romijn is most believable as worried mom."
