“Carnage is a very funny take on parents trying to be politically correct, in dealing with an incident involving their sons. At first the families seem polite, until the guards come down and true feelings come out. Jodie Foster, Kate Winselt, Christopher Waltz and John C. Reilly all star in this excellent drama, with a wicked sense of humour. The story at times is slow as the drama unfolds, but when the truths come out that is when the wicked humour comes out. It is a very good take on how being Politically Correct, sometimes can backfire. This is a good movie, like I said slow at times, but it is worth a look.” read more

"I had no idea what to expect. All I knew was that after The Pianist, I wanted to see another Roman Polanski film. But a lighter one, to contrast with the former. And with such an impressive, albeit small, cast, I knew I couldn't go wrong. The weaker performances came from the men, John C. Reilly and Christoph Waltz and the strongest, from Jodie Foster. No disrespect to Kate Winslet, who still much overshadowed the men, but she just didn't capture it in the same way. "

"03.03. DVD, 1st viewing DIRECTED BY Roman Polanski A fun, brief film that owes a huge debt to Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf. In comparison, the humour and writing here wasn't quite as good, even though it managed to stay interesting throughout. The acting was great by all four actors. Foster and Waltz especially were stellar. "
