I really liked it, especially the beginning and the ending of the movie. I liked it better than the first, found it more interesting and entertaining overall, but I cannot rate this movie without taking into account the first one. While the first movie works out as a standalone work, one cannot understand and truly appreciate the second movie without watching the first one... first.

I really liked it. Above all, the visuals are awesome and only for this, it was for watching it. However, as usual with 'Ghost in the Shell', the story was so confusing. I'm not sure I understood half of the movie but the whole thing was still rather fascinating. To conclude, it is rather an acquired taste but I think it is definitely worth a look, especially if you are interested in Japanese anim... read more

Great Animated Films. (50 movies items)

"This one requres some backgroud, and is best viewed after the movie and the first series, at least. It deals with the major's partner, continuing police work after her supposed death. Section 9, taking on a daunting myustery, all the good stuff here. Just don't let it be your intro to ghost in the shell, unless you want to melt your brain."
