Garfield, the fat, lazy, lasagna lover, has everything a cat could want. But when Jon, in an effort to impress the Liz, the vet and an old high-school crush, adopts a dog named Odie and brings him home, Garfield gets the one thing he doesn't want. Competition.

There seems to be an error, you rated 'Garfield' 7 out of 10 but here you've said 'you don't think it is really worth a look'

“One of the worst thing about the current wave of CGI animated features is that it has made it much easier to combine animated characters in a live-action environment. It means that while ‘Who Framed Roger Rabbit’ was revolutionary back in those days, today, there is nothing really amazing about all those movies. Eventually, the main issue was that all these movies were just terribly underwhelming (‘Alvin and the Chipmunks’, ‘HOP’, ‘Yogi Bear’,…) and this flick was not an exception. I mean, seriously, Garfield is a great character and it was already difficult to move to a feature length format (I’m not sure if it was even doable in the first place) but why making a mix live-action and animation while 100% animation would have worked much better. As a result, you have a r” read more

"08.04.2013 "So much time, and so little... I need to do." I caught this on TV and it was way better than i expected. It wasn't a masterpiece or anyhing, but with all the hate it get's everywhere i was expecting Chipmunk movies or Smurfs bad. This was actually a pretty fun kids movie that i probably would have loved as a kid. I'm also a sucker for any movie that involves lost animals finding their way home. Even if one of them is a creepy CG creature voiced by Bill Murray. "

" Yep, this is Garfield, all right. "Garfield: The Movie" captures the elusive charm of the most egotistical character on the funny pages, and drops him into a story that allows him to bask in his character flaws. That Garfield is revealed to be brave and conscientious after all will not surprise anyone, although it might embarrass him. Ebert's rating: 3/4"
