Local science instructor Midori Honami (Miki Mizuno) is called to assist the brave Colonel Watarase (Toshiyuki Nagashima) in the military's oft-confused attempts to save mankind. They must find a way to successfully combine efforts with their reptilian protector, or both will face ultimate distruction from the Earth's bugged-out invaders. Sama juttu on pielessä kuin edellisessä Heisei-ajan Gamerassa eli koko homma vedetään äärivakavaksi trilleridraamaksi, joka ei kiinnosta ketään, koska tarjolla olisi myös jättiläishirviöitä. CGI on rumaa eikä kukaan kuole vaikka koko kaupunki sortuisi monstereiden riehuessa. Gameran ilmassa tapahtuva frisbee-pyöri"

"Much better then the first movie in my opinion. Good characters, great special effects and a very well written story. Now I need to watch Gamera 3 and see if it's a masterpiece or not. "

" Legion is a truly terrifying and nasty villain for Gamera. The effects are a huge leap forward after the first movie, which was already an achievement. Gamera reveals new abilities and an awesome makeover. It's also cool that a new monster was created for the film, rather than a retooling of an old one. "
