Is it a ripoff of Alien? Yeah, but so what? It has great practical effects, an intreaguing plot, great ending, doesn't spare characters from death. It reminded me in some moments of The Thing also, although this was done one year before.

While this movie has a pretty weak plot and a lot of things doesn't really make any sense, it's really entertaining. It's just a cool and atmospheric b-film, with great gore and a lot of disgusting monsters. I really liked the Alien-inspired scenery as well.
It's not for everyone, so if you're a fan of old and incredibly cheesy sci-fi/horror b-movies, check it out.
