Even though I'm not a big fan of Barbra Streisand, since she won the oscar for the best actress for this movie, I was rather intrigued. “Even though I'm not a big fan of Barbra Streisand, since she won the oscar for the best actress for this movie, I was rather intrigued. Nowadays, the standard are not quite the same, I'm afraid, even though, Jennifer Hudson did manage to win the oscar for 'Dreamgirls'. Anyway, I thought the movie was not bad, the songs were pretty good and Barbra Streisand delivers a strong performance. Unfortunately, like most of musicals, I thought that the story was nothing mind-blowing. It was also rather long (140 minutes) and the whole thing tends to drag sometimes, so I got rather bored, at s” read more
