The Indie film has become more and more popular as the years go on. Blockbusters and high concept movies are losing their appeal as favourite films because the audience strives for a deeper meaning and an alternative look on the big screen. I walked away from this movie both, challenged and greatly disturbed. The utter feeling of hopelessness that these characters felt and the need to follow a charismatic leader was a frustrating feeling for me. “I have a very diverse film taste. I like many arthouse classics like The Seventh Seal or The Passion of Joan of Arc, and I also like modern classics like The Dark Knight, Pulp Fiction, and this. And I have to say, this is the best one. It is absolutely and utterly perfect. Pitt gives an incredible performance as the ultra bad-ass Tyler Durden, and Norton is brilliant, as well. It not only gives you some massive entertainment value along with an amazing twist, it also sends a very important philosophical message.
