After reading a couple books written by Bukowski, I became completely hooked and he has been ever since one of my favorite authors. So, when I heard about this flick, I just had to see it and I had some rather huge expectations. Eventually, it was not bad but I thought it was rather disappointing. To start with, honestly, even though Matt Dillon was alright, he still didn't manage to convince me t... read more

If you liked the book you should never watch the movie. I watched while ago and made myself to forgot right after it. Very poor.

This drama centers on Hank Chinaski, the fictional alter-ego of "Factotum" author Charles Bukowski, who wanders around Los Angeles, CA trying to live off jobs which don't interfere with his primary interest, which is writing. Along the way, he fends off the distractions offered by women, drinking and gambling.

Lopputekstien biisi oli lopulta ainut t"

"I read the book about 10 years ago and it was fun to remember moments fom it before they happened on film. Matt Dillon was good in the lead."
